PRODEQ – Association for the Development of Chemical Engineering, is promoting a conference on November 27, 2019, under the theme:
The Contribution of Chemical Engineering to the Circular Economy. The event will take place between 09:00 and 17:30 at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Coimbra, featuring prominent representatives from the academic and business sectors, both national and international.
It is important to highlight PRODEQ’s commitment, as an entity aiming to bridge the gap between the academic and corporate worlds, to expertise related to resource recovery and reuse, specifically providing the business community with a wide range of technical and scientific knowledge in this field.
In a time where reducing the use of natural resources is a top priority, and several countries are presenting well-defined strategies for resource reuse, PRODEQ positions itself nationally as a center of excellence supporting Circular Economy themes, capable of studying, innovating, or implementing scientific-business projects in this scope.
This event stems from this positioning, where we will disclose innovative solutions resulting from scientific research, best practices from the corporate world, the necessary legal framework for these Circular Economy practices, and, naturally, the Portuguese Environment Agency's (APA) strategy on this matter.
